Magna Carta 800th Anniversary Website

Working on behalf of HCL, we have spent the last few months producing a website for the build up to the Magna Carta 800th Anniversary in 2015. We utilised our full spectrum of our services and created everything from the concepts and branding right through to the design & build, copywriting and interactive elements.

This complete branding exercise for the Magna Carta 800th Anniversary features strong, clean lines that connect clearly to a contemporary world while retaining subtle medieval overtones. This logo will be widely used as part of the national celebrations in the lead up to 2015 and so the logo has been kept as simple as possible to allow for wide variations in how it can be displayed. As part of the branding toolkit we have included the use of reverse type on a series of different colours and background textures to further underscore the Medieval connection.

After the successful launch of the Spa website several years ago, Ratio7 was asked to refresh the website to mark the relaunch of the Spa, including a new colour scheme.

The website was given a stunning makeover on a tight budget and included new branding and a brown and cream colour scheme that runs throughout the site. The website was search engine optimised to current standards and SIFR technology introduced so the Spa font could be used for the titles across the website.

The Centre for Social Justice is an independent think tank established in 2004 to seek effective solutions to the poverty that blight parts of Britain. Our Mission is to put social justice at the heart of British politics and to build an alliance of poverty fighting organisations in order to see a reversal of social breakdown in the UK.

Cambridge based IT company Qcoms approached us with a challenge to create a new website that was both visually appealing and content managed, all on a shoe string budget. Of course we’re not ones to shy away from a challenge so we set out to see what we could do. We think the result speaks for itself and shows what can be achieved even on the smallest of budgets.

Working on behalf of Live Union, we have been busy building a mini site for a series of events in March for somewhereto_, a nationwide 2012 Olympic & Paralympic legacy project opening up places and spaces for young people to do the things they love within the world of arts, culture and sport.

Ratio7 were consistently helpful and quick to respond to my endless requests for changes to the copy and design. I was dealt with efficiently and professionally and everything was explained clearly so that even a techno-phobe like me could understand. I would not hesitate to use Ratio7 again in the future.

NuDrive Exhibition

NuDrive is an innovative new propulsion accessory for manual wheelchairs.

As part of an ongoing partnership, NuDrive asked us to produce a new set of exhibition materials including a technical spec sheet to give out to potential dealers and a massive 12ft backdrop. The finished design features strong product shots on a hand-drawn wheelchair and finished on a matt black background to give it a futuristic feel.

Chester based software company Concerto Support asked us to completely revamp their current logo and website around four main product groups.

A stunning logo was created around a “conductor” concept, creating a beautiful shape made of four different strokes, each with its own vibrant colour. This idea was then completed with the tagline: “Know the way”.

The elegant and informative website was developed to enable users to quickly find information about each product including core features and an online tour. The website was built on WordPress and then optimised for search engines.

Live Union is a groundbreaking live events production company based in Covent Garden, working for the likes of Cadbury and Sky to name a few.

Ratio7 worked with Live Union to produce a blog-driven, search engine friendly version of their website including an all new client case studies area. The website was built on WordPress, enabling the Live Union team to blog and easily manage the content across the entire website.

Ratio7 were the perfect partner, they gave us a clear project plan, demonstrated great project management skills, helped us make the right technical decisions and delivered an excellent user experience.

CleverAdviser specialises in creating investment technology solutions for the IFA community through the application of new technology.

CleverAdviser was looking for a bold and unique logo along with a website and glossy product sheets to clearly communicate the power and benefits of the CleverAdviser software to other IFA’s.

A very modern and striking logo was designed using a bright magenta and a tailor-made font. The website and product sheets were beautifully and coherently designed to ensure consistency across the different mediums and featured a black cat that stars across the entire Clever brand. The website was designed to give a strong user experience and featured a bespoke icon set to visually communicate vital points of information.

Helm Godfrey is one of the top 100 UK IFA’s and won Money Marketing’s IFA of the Year award and Financial Adviser’s Large IFA of the Year 2008.

Working closely with MRM London and Breath Creative, Ratio7 developed a content rich, search engine optimised website featuring blog streams and featured articles from the experienced advisers of Helm Godfrey.

Third Hope

Third Hope. Million Names Campaign.

Third Hope is a UK based charity with a huge vision to build a centre near Gulu for the long-term rehabilitation of Northern Uganda’s ex-child soldiers.

As part of our long term support to Third Hope we built them a website free of charge to help raise awareness of the amazing work they do and to help raise money towards their Million Names campaign.

The brief was to create a youth based magazine calling young people to social action and to help increase supporter communication. The design had to have minimal imagery and so was focused around different type and typography.

Working with The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice we created a friendly magazine covering sensitive information and difficult situations. Soft shapes and hopeful colours and imagery we’re used to help communicate the sensitive and difficult issues.

A modern approach combined with traditional values. The rebrand for this Stanmore based IFA included a new logo, stationery set and a website, all featuring architectural imagery combined with a clean use of space.

Wegeners Trust

Wegeners Trust

The St Thomas’ Wegener’s Trust is an amazing organisation dedicated to the research of Wegener’s Granulomatosis.

Working with the design team at Breath Creative, Ratio7 developed an elegant, SEO friendly and easy to update website that provides up-to-date information written by consultants about Wegener’s and about the range of treatments available and the findings of the Trust’s research. The website also featured stories from people with first-hand experience of the disease and information about how to contribute to the work of the Trust.

The Storehouse asked Ratio7 to come up with an exciting and quirky new logo and online shop for the current Lancashire based store.

We had great fun creating a very playful and illustrative style that set a friendly tone through the website. A robust cost effective E-commerce system was deployed allowing the Storehouse team to manage everything from products, stock control, promotional offers and even product based blogs.

The brief was to create an elegant and trendy website, stationary and overall brand for DivineMatch, The UK Christian Singles Community. The design and branding needs to appeal to a large target audience and should clearly stand out from the competition in an already saturated and competitive market.

An overall theme of ‘improving your lifestyle’ was used throughout the site and stationary by using inspiring and positive imagery. Clear and intuitive navigation was used in the website to improve the user’s experience, including ‘at a glance’ tools, user’s friends and favourites, saved searches and recently viewed profiles.

Ratio7 were creative from the word Go and were instrumental in turning our vision into a reality. We couldn't be happier with the results!

Scripture Union magazine has a circulation of over 70,000 and is designed to show the work of this amazing charity. The design features life affirming and family friendly imagery to underline Scripture Union’s values.

Data Locator Group (DLG) delivers outstanding data-driven products and solutions for direct marketing, uplifting response rates from the expected to the exceptional.

This total rebrand including a new logo, brochure and website saw the value of the company more than double in six weeks. Use of strong, conceptual imagery and clean lines communicated forward looking brand values of great innovative company.

To help promote the Spa, Ratio7 was also asked to produce the signage for the shop window that faces onto Watford High Street.

The window display was a huge success and featured two seven foot backdrops designed to show the peace and tranquility of the Spa as well as some of the top-selling product ranges available from the Spa.

ilovegifts

ilovegifts appointed Ratio7 to re-brand their Presence online shop under the new brand “ilovegifts”. They wanted to improve the online shopping experience for their customers, making it easier and more enjoyable to use the website which included adding a gift wrap and personalised card service. They wanted the new branding to be fun, quirky and appeal to a large target audience.

A set of logos was created to reflect the new fun and quirky brand featuring a different icon for each department of the site. A stunning and easy-to-use design was created featuring a custom-designed banner and an introduction for each category and sub-category resulting in a rich user experience. A simple flash animation was also added to the homepage to create interest and guide customers to the top selling product lines. Popup gift wrap and personalised card options were added into the shopping basket, proving to be a big hit with the customers.

Ratio7 have been a great company to work with. We tasked them with creating a fun & quirky new brand for the Presence Retail e-retail store. They delivered something which not only met and exceeded our expectations but has left us with an extremely strong and marketable brand to sell our products on. In fact, the re-brand led to an increase of over 80% in our sales figures! Very please all round, thank you Ratio7.

Centre for Missional Leadership

Centre for Missional Leadership

The Watford School of Leadership asked Ratio7 to create a website to raise the profile of the newly established School and to create interest in its courses for prospective students. The website should have a modern, clean design and should clearly show the different courses along with an easy to use enrollment form.

A simple, elegant and easy to navigate website was produced, allowing visitors to quickly find information about the School, the faculty and partners and the different courses that WSOL offers. A selection of stock imagery was introduced to enhance each page and portray a friendly and personal feel about the School. An easy to use online enrolment form was created, along with an alternative .pdf version that prospective students could download and print for submission.

We had a strong idea of what we wanted in our effort to attract prospective students to our school. Ratio7 understood our mission and worked closely with us to develop an identity and website that accomplished all our objectives.

NuDrive Video

After the successful launch of the NuDrive website, Ratio7 was tasked with creating an inspiring and informational video promoting the NuDrive wheelchair system.

Hallcrest Security

Hallcrest Security

Hallcrest Security approached Ratio7 to redesign the logo, stationary and website for the Hertfordshire-based security group. The website needed to be simple to use, have a strong and professional feel and be easy to update via a content management system.

Ratio7 designed a stunning new logo based around an abstract key design and used a chunky font and a vibrant red colour to install a feeling of safety and security to readers.

The website was built around a popular content management system allowing the Hallcrest team to update all the content including regular news from Hallcrest. The design of the site was built around the new red logo and featured cut-out imagery and flash animated banners for various sections which brings the website to life!
